Earlier in the week, 49ers broadcaster Tim Ryan told KNBR Blaine Gabbert is outperforming Colin Kaepernick in practice. But a large pocket of fans and media members have been calling for a quarterback change.
The uneasiness regarding Gabbert’s play has not spread to the locker room, according to ESPN reporter Jim Trotter.
Spoke to Bowman and Hyde this week. Each told me there hasn't been a whisper in the locker room about needing to make a change QB. #49ers

On the season, Gabbert’s 55.2 completion percentage ranks 31st, his 5.54 yards per pass ranks 32nd and the 49ers have gone thee-and-out on 34.9 percent of their drives.
With the schedule picking up in the next few weeks, some are calling Sunday’s game against the Cowboys a must win for Gabbert and the 49ers. San Francisco will host Arizona on Thursday Night Football next week, before heading to Buffalo and then hosting Jameis Winston and the Buccaneers.
