San Francisco Examiner golf writer Art Spander joined the Murph and Mac show Monday morning to talk about the life of Arnold Palmer, who passed away Sunday evening at the age of 87.
Spander recently wrote this about Palmer:
“Thanks for the memories. Thanks for the elegance, thanks for the friendliness, thanks for the class. Thanks for never losing your spirit, or your dedication, or your humility. Thanks for understanding golf is only a game, and there will be bad days and good days, and you don’t have to take out your disappointment on the fans or the media.”
