Add another chapter to the Colin Kaepernick vs. America saga.

After close inspection, Kaepernick has been wearing socks that depict cops as pigs, a derogatory connotation to the men and women who serve communities around the country.

Urban Dictionary defines as a pig as the following: A filthy police officer, who thinks they are above the law and whatever they says goes.

“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” Kaepernick originally told Steve Wyche of NFL.com, before his 18 minute marathon interview on Sunday. “To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”

Police brutality and the corruptness of cops has been Kaepernick’s big overall message, and the reason why he’s chosen to protest so visibly during the Star-Spangled Banner.

Kaepernick is still expected to sit out the national anthem Thursday in San Diego, where the Chargers are honoring 240 military members on the field prior to the game. The 49ers are also expected to start Kaepernick at quarterback.

His roster spot has been a hot topic of debate this week, but coach Chip Kelly told the media Tuesday that Kaepernick is one of the two best quarterbacks on the roster.

The photo of the pig socks was taken on Aug. 10.
