SAN FRANCISCO — After Wednesday’s win over the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Giants announced their plans to take advantage of the expanded roster on Sept. 1.

Williamson, who is working his way back from a shoulder injury, last played on July 31 and Osich has been on the shelf since July 28 with a strained left forearm.
Of the prospects coming up, left-handed pitcher Blach, 25, is the most intriguing as he’s posted a 3.43 ERA and 113/38 K/BB ratio in 162.2 innings with the Triple-A River Cats this season.
