The 49ers and linebacker NaVorro Bowman have agreed to a contract extension, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Bowman, 28, had a career-high 154 tackles in his return from a gruesome knee injury. A third-round pick out of Penn State in 2010, Bowman has 636 tackles, 11.5 sacks, three interceptions and six forced fumbles in his seven-year NFL career.
