The Giants have placed Mac Williamson on the DL with a shoulder strain and activated Ehire Adrianza from the disabled list.

Williamson replaced Adrianza on the roster in mid-April after Adrianza fouled a ball off his left foot. In just eight games with the Giants, Adrianza is hitting .300 with one home run, which came off Clayton Kershaw. During his rehab stints in Single-A San Jose and Triple-A Sacramento, Adrianza hit .294 with six home runs and 14 RBI.

Williamson got sporadic starts in the big leagues, but began playing more consistently when Hunter Pence was shelved with a hamstring injury. In 42 games, Williamson hit .245 with six home runs and 14 RBI.

Grant Green and Ruben Tejada cleared waivers after being designated for assignment last week. Both infielders have accepted assignment to Triple-A Sacramento and will join the team in Albuquerque.
