Ultimately, Brandon Rush decided playing for the veterans minimum with the Warriors wasn’t worth it.

Rush, 30, started 25 games last season for the Warriors while Harrison Barnes was injured. In 14.7 minutes per game, he averaged 4.2 points and shot a blistering 41.4 percent from downtown.
During the NBA Finals, many were calling for Rush to replace Barnes in the lineup for Game 7, but he never really saw much action on the floor.
While his role wasn’t a big one in the Strength in Numbers bench brigade, he was one of the Warriors’ best shooters off the bench. Rush leaves a hole to fill for GM Bob Myers.
With the current roster, rookie Patrick McCaw is the only reserve wing player in case of an injury.
