Cleveland was on cloud nine Wednesday, hosting its first championship parade in 52 years. An estimated 1.3 million Ohioans poured into downtown, packing the streets for an unprecedented extravaganza.
LeBron James was the focal point of the celebration and he had plenty of things to say. He credited his teammates, he poured his heart out for the city of Cleveland and he also threw some shade at Steph Curry.
LeBron on Kyrie: "He thought I was blowing smoke up his ass earlier in the season when I told him he could be the best PG in our league"

This is only the beginning of the shade. Because of what Irving did on the biggest stage, there are even people outside of Cleveland who will argue they’d take the 24-year-old Irving over the 28-year-old Curry. And to be fair, it’s hard to argue with LeBron: Irving was better than Curry in the NBA Finals. But to already anoint him the best point guard in the league?
Brace yourself for this chatter, Warriors fans. It’s not going to stop any time soon.
UPDATE: LeBron also gave Kevin Love props for his defense on Curry late in Game 7.
Lol LeBron kind of roasting Steph Curry in the name of Kevin Love. https://t.co/Ec2Agc3Hdi
