Want a game worn Steph Curry mouthguard? You’ll have your chance soon.

On August 3, SCP Auctions will put up the MVP’s iconic mouthguard for sale.

“Steph Curry has given more life to mouthguards than any player in history,” Dan Imler, vice president of the auction house told ESPN.com. “The way he flips it in and out of his mouth has become part of watching him during a game.”

SCP sold Muhammad Ali’s mouthguard for $6,700 in 2013 and another auction house, Sotheby’s, sold Ty Cobb’s dentures for $7,475 back in 1989.

Curry’s mouthguard has become so well-known, the NBA 2K video game series has featured it. He said he’s a more accurate free throw shooter when he’s chewing on the mouthpiece.

“Some fan studied it,” Curry told Jimmy Kimmel. “He said I shoot 2% better on free throws with it out. And I think he’s right. Because when I shoot a free throw with it in, I always go, Whoa, that’s weird. It’s where it’s supposed to be.”

SCP obtained the protective mouthpiece when a fan recovered it near the bench after a Warriors game this season.
