CLEVELAND — Social media can bring out the worst in people, but at least justice is served at times.
On Wednesday, a Twitter user sent a derogatory tweet to Sydel Curry, Steph’s younger sister, which included threats to the family and a homophobic slur directed at Riley Curry, Steph’s daughter. Sydel brought attention to the despicable harassment through a quote tweet.
The Cavs fan who sent the tweet has been fired from his job.
Apology for the #Cavs fan who was fired for harassing @sydelcurry & @itsRileyCurry @warriorsworld @BroBible pic.twitter.com/rdK5Vn1A4q

Kudos to James Wise for his swift action. Social media is a cruel world, and the more people who learn this lesson the hard way, the better.
