Jimmy Garoppolo has been fantastic in his first two games as the 49ers’ starting quarterback. In addition to leading the team to consecutive victories for the first time since 2014, Garoppolo’s combined 627 passing yards in his first two starts are the most ever by a 49ers QB in their first two starts.

No contract will be in the offing for Jimmy Garoppolo before the end of the season, and maybe not then either. However, Garoppolo will eventually sign and likely be the 49ers’ long-term answer at quarterback.
