Brock Purdy will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers nearly a year removed from the last time he faced them. Last time, it was a coming out party in his first-ever start, a 35-7 beatdown of Tom Brady’s Bucs.
The 49ers will hope for a similar result Sunday in the same environs of Levi’s Stadium. Below is the game status report for both teams.

Updates from Kyle Shanahan
While Banks missed last week and will miss this week with turf toe, he was active on a side field on Thursday running and getting out of his stance. While not full speed, it was a clear progression through the rehab process.
Kyle Shanahan said Friday that Banks has “a chance” to return Thursday, for the 49ers’ Thanksgiving road matchup with the Seattle Seahawks.
He said that Beal, Luter and Womack all have had “two good weeks” of practice and “have all shown that they’re healthy enough to play,” but that there are roster decisions to figure out with them.
Nick Zakelj will hit injured reserve, likely on Saturday, which could open up a spot for one of them — or be used for a practice squad player to be promoted temporarily, then cut and re-signed to the practice squad. That process is used because only two practice squad players per week can be activated for gameday.
There is some additional practice squad news. Shanahan said that Jason Verrett, who reportedly worked out for the team after being cut from the Texans’ practice squad, could be signed to the 49ers’ practice squad. He stated specifically that he wants to sign him.
He said there is nothing official yet on that end, but that “if we’ve got a chance, we’d love to get him in here.”
Shanahan also mentioned that wide receiver Danny Gray, who is on injured reserve, is “good to go” and is in the same situation as the three potentially returning players.
“We’ll see when we need him with the numbers,” Shanahan said.
