The All-Star Game is coming back to the Bay.

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the league is “nearing plans” for the Warriors to host the 2025 All-Star Weekend at Chase Center.

The Warriors last hosted All-Star festivities in 2000, in Oakland, at the then-named The Arena in Oakland. In the more than two decades since, Los Angeles’ Staples Center has hosted the weekend three times, in 2004, 2011 and 2018.

It would technically be the third time the All-Star weekend was held in the Bay. Back in 1967, the San Francisco Warriors held the festivities at the Cow Palace, where hometown star Rick Barry was named MVP.

The Warriors also held the festivities when they were based in Philadelphia, back in 1960, when fellow Warriors legend Wilt Chamberlain won MVP.
