Joining the Warriors is a good career move, even if you don’t stick around for long.

After signing with Golden State on a two-year deal worth $9.3 million last offseason, Donte DiVincenzo reportedly flipped that into a four-year, $50 million contract with the New York Knicks on Saturday. DiVincenzo had a player option with the Warriors that he declined last week.

DiVincenzo averaged 9.4 points, 3.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game on 43.5-percent shooting from the field and 39.7 percent from 3-point range last season with the Warriors.

In addition to the payday, it’s an exciting move for DiVincenzo, who gets to join his former Villanova teammates Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart in NY.

With both DiVincenzo and Poole gone, the Warriors will need to sign another scoring guard on their bench this offseason to help compliment the addition of Chris Paul.
