That’s quite the tag line.

The 49ers have been rounding out their draft process with a week to go before this year’s proceedings. Having lost Mike McGlinchey and Daniel Brunskill — though they added Jon Feliciano — offensive line is a clear position worth adding to.

According to Tom Pelissero, San Francisco worked out Princeton offensive lineman Henry Byrd who is “an accomplished tap dancer.”

While Princeton obviously isn’t known for its football program, the 49ers have had some success with Ivy Leaguers. Dolphins head coach and former 49ers offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel was a wide receiver at Yale, and fullback Kyle Juszczyk is a Harvard grad.

Byrd, for his part, is a convincing athlete.

Byrd was a First-Team All Ivy in 2021 and 2022 and a starter for four-straight years. He might have to compete with left guard Aaron Banks, called the “Dancing Bear” in college, for a nickname.
