Draymond Green has been making fun of Rudy Gobert for years. It started during the beginning of the Warriors’ dynasty, when people argued that the 7-foot-1 center was the best defensive player in the league. It continued in 2019, when Gobert cried after not making the All-Star team and Green ripped him a new one on Twitter.
It was then no surprise that Gobert decided to take a shot at Green after the Warriors forward took his own shot at teammate Jordan Poole this offseason. After Green’s infamous practice punch of Poole, Gobert tweeted “Insecurity is always loud.”, likely a reference to the rumors that Green punched Poole because he was sour about the organization prioritizing the younger player.
As fate would have it, Gobert threw his own punch at teammate Kyle Anderson during Sunday’s season finale. The swing took place on the Timberwolves bench and led to Gobert being sent home during the game.
Guess who had something to say about it after his own game concluded?
Both on and off the court, it always seems to backfire when you try to talk trash to Draymond Green.
