Stephen Curry is set to be re-evaluated on Wednesday, but before official word from the Golden State Warriors, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported when he could return.

According to Woj, there is optimism that Curry will return to the floor during the Warriors’ next three-game road trip, which begins Sunday vs. the Los Angeles Lakers. The Warriors then play the Thunder on Tuesday and the Grizzlies on Thursday. Curry has been out with a left lower leg injury since Feb. 4.

Golden State has two more games on their homestand before hitting the road, a back-to-back vs. the Clippers and Pelicans on Thursday and Friday respectively.

The Warriors are in the midst of a three-game winning streak without Curry, and have climbed into the fifth seed before the season’s home stretch. Overall without Curry, and without Wiggins for much of the stretch, Golden State has improbably gone 5-4 and actually improved their status in the Western Conference standings that remain a logjam. Four and a half games separate the fourth seeded Suns and the 13th seeded Thunder.

Golden State sits at 32-30 with 20 games remaining. They are one game behind the Phoenix Suns who are projected to debut Kevin Durant imminently. If the playoffs were to start today, they’d face the Suns in the first round of the playoffs.
