This did not look good.
Presumptive Dodgers starting shortstop Gavin Lux was carted off the field in a spring training game on Monday, when he sustained a scary injury to his right leg between second and third base.
Lux stumbled while trying to avoid a throw to second base from the third baseman and in doing so, appeared to have his right knee hyperextend. Lux went down in a heap and held his right knee in obvious pain.
Lux was supposed to share shortstop duties with Miguel Rojas, who left yesterday’s game with a foot issue. It’s a bad start at one of the game’s most important positions for the reigning National League West champs.
