Stephen Curry left the third quarter of Saturday’s Warriors win over the Mavericks with a knee injury and did not return. Curry received x-rays that came back negative, and will receive an MRI on Sunday.
“Any time a guy gets an MRI, there’s a concern level,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. “We’ll just have to wait and see the results. … This has happened many, many times over the years. So fingers crossed he’s OK.”
Curry sustained the knee injury during a collision while defending Dallas’ McKinley Wright. Curry immediately went to the bench after the Mavericks called timeout. Curry met with two trainers and then limped to the locker room. He was later ruled out for the reminder of the game.
Earlier this season, Curry missed 11 games due to a left shoulder subluxation. The Warriors went 6-5 during that stretch.
