Cowboys owner Jerry Jones likes to talk. So much so, he does a local radio hit in Dallas every week.

This week, Jones talked about quarterback Dak Prescott, who is coming off an excellent performance vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday.

Specifically, Jones enjoyed Prescott making more plays with his legs.

“In the regular season, I didn’t see him saving anything,” Jones told 105.3 The Fan.

“I saw him take advantage of some opportunity. He probably could have [run] more times during the season, but the answer is in some of those games, we might not have needed it. Why do it, why risk it? Here [in the playoffs], we all understand why risk it.”

Prescott wasn’t exactly running all over Tampa Bay — he ran for just 24 yards on seven attempts — but was a threat and did score a touchdown on a bootleg. Still, Jones believes Prescott will be a triple-threat on Sunday, and believes that will give the Cowboys an advantage since the 49ers have struggled with mobile quarterbacks over the years.

“I think what you saw there [Monday] night, we’re going to get to see a lot of when we play San Francisco in terms of him keeping the ball and relying on that triple threat that he can have,” Jones said. “If we could get it, if he’s healthy enough to do it, his being able to instinctively take that ball and run with it … is really a dimension that [the 49ers’] defense has a difficult time adjusting to.”

Apparently, Jones hasn’t done much research on this year’s 49ers team. San Francisco has allowed the fifth-fewest yards rushing to quarterbacks this season, just 12.5 yards per game.
