The NFL playoffs begin with an NFC West rivalry matchup.
And as such, both teams are getting starters back. The 49ers have both left guard Aaron Banks and linebacker Dre Greenlaw (one vote shy of becoming a second-team All-Pro) returning to the lineup, while Seattle has safety Ryan Neal and running back DeeJay Dallas back in the lineup.
Below are the 49ers inactives:
- QB Jimmy Garoppolo (foot)
- CB Ambry Thomas (ankle)
- OL Nick Zakelj
- TE Ross Dwelley
- RB Ty Davis-Price
- RB Tevin Coleman
- DE Drake Jackson
Tevin Coleman was bumped from the practice squad to the active roster, which is something the 49ers likely did as a gesture of good faith, providing Coleman with a heftier playoff game check. They’ve done this in the past with other veterans.
The most noteworthy player not active for the 49ers is Drake Jackson, their first pick of the 2022 NFL Draft and the 61st overall. They’ve had him inactive three times in the last four games in order to put the emphasis on stopping the run.
For Seattle, inactives are as follows:
Saturday’s game will kick off at 1:30 p.m. to a cloudy forecast of intermittent heavy rain and wind.
