We know what seed the 49ers are going to be in the playoffs, but we’re still waiting to see who their opponent is.

San Francisco secured the No. 2 seed with their resounding win over the Cardinals on Sunday, guaranteeing they’ll have home field in at least the first two rounds of the playoffs. Only the Philadelphia Eagles (14-3) finished with a better record than the 49ers (13-4) in the conference, and will have a first-round bye and home field advantage throughout.

The entire NFC playoff picture is sorted aside from the seventh and final seed, which will be determined based on the result of the Lions vs. Packers game on Sunday night. With the Seahawks beating the Rams, the Packers will have to beat the Lions in order to clinch the final seed. If they lose, the No. 7 seed will go to the Seahawks. The 49ers will play whoever earns the final seed at Levi’s Stadium next weekend.

The Lions would have also been in the mix had Seattle lost, but are now eliminated from playoff contention heading into Sunday Night Football.

The 49ers beat the Seahawks twice during the regular season, but did not play the Packers. The 49ers beat Green Bay in a Divisional Playoff game at Lambeau Field last season.

Here is the NFC Playoff Picture heading into Sunday night. Teams in bold are division winners and will play at home in the first round:

  1. Eagles (14-3) First-round bye
  2. 49ers (13-4)
  3. Vikings (13-4)
  4. Buccaneers (8-9)
  5. Cowboys (12-5)
  6. Giants (9-7-1)
  7. Seahawks (9-8) or Packers if they win (8-8)
