During the third quarter of the Warriors’ 128-111 loss in Milwaukee, Draymond Green got into it with a hostile fan. The TNT broadcast caught him yelling toward the baseline seats during foul shots, and then he discussed the incident shortly thereafter with an official.
The fan then got promptly ejected from the arena.

After the game, Green revealed to reporters in Milwaukee that the fan crossed lines by making what he said were death threats.
“Some threatening stuff to my life,” Green told reporters when asked about the situation, via The Athletic’s Anthony Slater.
“I was this close to really going back and diving all the way in,” Green added, gesturing his fingers close together. “But kinda just went back and told the official. And when I told the official what he said, he said ‘Oh, he’s got to get out of here.’ And he gotta get out of here.”
Earlier this season, Green got fined $25,000 for directing obscene language toward a Dallas Mavericks fan. That fan later publicly disagreed with the penalty and matched Green’s fine in the form of a charitable donation.
“We’re all human beings, and there are times when you just respond,” Green said when asked about the Dallas incident. “Try to learn from the mistakes, but like I said, there’s still that human side, the human element to it.”
NBA fan behavior has anecdotally declined recently. In the past couple years, Chris Paul’s family was allegedly harassed during a game, Russell Westbrook tried confronting a fan who dumped popcorn on him, and Trae Young got spit on by a fan during the pandemic.
Green’s history with fans is also particularly notable. On a podcast, Green said that Celtics fans used racial slurs to intimidate him during last year’s NBA Finals.
Green finished Tuesday’s game with two points, six rebounds and seven assists.
