It looked awful, but the early reports are that Deebo Samuel’s ankle injury isn’t that bad.
According to Jordan Schultz of The Score and formally of ESPN, sources are saying that the 49ers believe Samuel avoided a ‘serious’ injury after being carted off the field during Sunday’s game vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Samuel teared up while being carted off the field in the second quarter of Sunday’s game, after sustaining what looked like was a serious knee injury on a run up the middle. It’s the second game in a row the 49ers have had a player carted off, losing Jimmy Garoppolo for the regular season last week.
Before leaving the game, Samuel had 64 yards from scrimmage and a rushing touchdown.
