Davante Adams was frustrated after the Raiders brutal 30-29 loss to the Chiefs on Monday. So frustrated, he shoved a random person to the ground.
Videos caught Adams pushing a photographer over as he walked into the tunnel following Monday’s game. The photographer didn’t seem to do anything except for walk in front of Adams as he was exiting the field. He admitted as much in his less-than-convincing apology in the locker room.
“Before I answer anything else I want to apologize to the guy…some guy running off the field and he ran and jumped in front of me and I bumped into him and kind of pushed him and he ended up on the ground, so I wanted to say sorry to him,” Adams said. “That was just frustration mixed with him literally just running in front of me. Shouldn’t have responded that way but that’s obviously how I responded and I want to apologize to him for that.”
As is customary, the photographer has now escalated the situation according to TMZ, claiming he was hurt in the fall and was transported to the hospital. He also filed a police report.
Per TMZ:
Authorities tell us the man claimed he was the victim of an assault. They say he told them he suffered injuries … though they were “thought to be non-life threatening.”
Good to know his life isn’t at risk.
Local police are currently investigating the incident.
