The biggest hit of Monday’s 49ers-Rams game took place well after the whistle blew.
Rams linebacker Bobby Wagner had enough after two fans ran onto the field in the first half at Levi’s Stadium, both with flares in hand. The first fan did so in the first quarter, and was dealt without incident.
The second fan wasn’t so lucky.
After running around for awhile and evading security, the fan made the mistake of running towards the Rams sideline, where Wager took matters into his own hands.
The hit won’t show up on the stat sheet, but it will go down as one of the most memorable of his career.
