49ers fans aren’t the only ones who love making fun of Russell Wilson.
A day after the Broncos quarterback again looked shaky, albeit in a bizarre 11-10 win over San Francisco, Eli Manning roasted Wilson during the Monday Night Football Manningcast.
“They should’ve paid that punter $235 million,” Manning quipped, referring to the 10 punts compared with one touchdown the Broncos scored on Sunday.
The Broncos punter Corliss Waitman — who makes $825,000 this season — was responsible for 476 punting yards combined.
Wilson’s issues have been consistent through three games. The Broncos supposedly revamped offense with Wilson and new coach Nate Hackett mustered just 16 points in each of the first two games, before scoring 11 on Sunday. Somehow, they’ve managed to win two of those.
In those games, Wilson has posted a combined 83.2 QB rating which would be a career low.
