The 49ers will face the Houston Texans on Thursday night for their final game of the preseason slate. It’s the third game in just 12 days, with 17 days on the other side of it before the season opener at Chicago.
So while the likes of Trey Lance and some other starters will play, with Kyle Shanahan aiming for a couple series, and no more than the first half, a host of players will sit.
