The All-Star reserve selections trickled out Sunday afternoon, and Carlos Rodón’s name was nowhere to be found.

Rodón, who is 8-5 with a 2.70 ERA, won’t represent the National League in Los Angeles unless he’s tapped as a replacement. The southpaw is tied for the MLB lead in Fangraphs WAR, is fourth in strikeouts and leads the NL in home runs allowed per nine innings.

Joc Pederson, who is starting in the outfield, was the only Giant chosen. Logan Webb also didn’t get a nod.

The NL pitching staff, according to USA Today’s Bob Nightengale, includes Clayton Kershaw, Sandy Alcantara, Corbin Burnes, Josh Hader, Joe Mantiply, Luis Castillo, Max Fried, Tony Gonsolin, Joe Musgrove, Edwin Diaz, Ryan Helsley and David Bednar.

Rodón made his first All-Star team last year with the Chicago White Sox. He’s coming off his best start of the season, in which he went the distance and struck out 12 Padres in a 3-1 win.

Webb has less of a case than Rodón, since he had a relatively slow start. But in seven starts since the beginning of June, Webb has been as effective as just about any starter, posting a 2.23 ERA.
