Klay Thompson let Memphis center Jaren Jackson Jr. have it after Game 6 of the NBA Finals, for a tweet he sent in March after beating the Warriors.

“There was this one player on the Grizzlies who tweeted ‘Strength in Numbers’ after they beat us in the regular season and it pissed me off so much,” Thompson said. “I can’t wait to retweet that thing. Frickin’ bum. I had to watch that, I’m like this freaking clown. Okay, okay. Sorry, that memory just popped up.

“You’re going to mock us? You haven’t even been there before, bruh. We’ve been there, we know what it takes. To be here again, hold that. Twitter fingers, can you believe it?

“I’ve got a memory like an elephant. I don’t forget. And there were a lot of people kicking us when we were down.”

Jackson has yet to respond, but his teammate Ja Morant, always quick to take to social media, did on Friday.

“got a lot of real estate ?”, Morant wrote on Twitter, referring to the Grizzlies living “rent free” in the Warriors’ heads.

Morant was also quick to offer up praise, calling Stephen Curry a top five player of all time.

Saying the Grizzlies are in the Warriors heads on the day after they just won the title is a little curious, but what else are you going to say to the champs?
