Durant calls Draymond’s opinion on Curry double teams in Finals ‘100 percent false’

There’s nothing like a little morning chirping from Kevin Durant on the ole bird app. Durant, as always, is an avid tweeter and rarely holds back an opinion.

Tuesday was no different. A user tweeted Durant the following clip from the latest episode of Draymond Green’s podcast.

“Kevin Durant was absolutely incredible in those Finals runs,” he said. “… Steph Curry got double-teamed probably seven times the amount that KD did in a given series. So when you watch those games and you say, ‘Ah, [Curry’s] numbers could be a little down,’ he’s facing a double team.”

Durant disagreed completely.

“From my view of it, this is 100% false…” KD tweeted.

Durant went back and forth with a user without really explaining what his gripe was with Green’s opinion. The “seven times” number on Green’s behalf seems a bit arbitrary, and seems the most likely point of contention.

He continued, saying Curry was “never” doubled when he crossed half court while he was on the Warriors. Even if some video on Twitter seemed to prove there was some validity.

Ultimately Draymond responded directly to Durant, telling him that he got baited into tweeting because he just watched the clip, without listening to Draymond’s entire take.

Durant might not be playing right now, but it’s good to see his tweeting is still in postseason form.
