Taylor Jenkins complains about Draymond Green non-call at end of Game 4

The Warriors — and by Warriors, we mean Stephen Curry — pulled out a monumental Game 4 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night. They now lead the series 3-1 after closing the game out by leaning on Curry offensively and closing down Jaren Jackson Jr. late.

That late attempt was maligned by Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins. He said the team should have taken a better shot, but also openly wondered if the referees missed a foul call on Draymond Green.

“We were trying — with 19 seconds left — to go quick, get a quick 2 or quick 3,” Jenkins said. “I think maybe a shot that was a little rushed right there. I’m actually curious what they’ll say. I think there was contact. I’m just curious what they’re going to say at the end of that one. That was heavily contested but I think there was a lot of contact.”

It was a surprising reaction to a play that looked like clean defense in the moment.

Jackson Jr. was asked about the play after the game and was fairly straightforward, not at all indicating that he thought Green fouled him.

“I missed,” Jackson Jr. “I took it, thought it was going in, probably could have done more to attack him. He had five fouls… I missed. Tough.”

The Warriors head back to Memphis for Game 5 with Ja Morant’s status up in the air.
