It seems like every game this series, Aaron Gordon has acted as a sparkplug for the Warriors. He got into it with Klay Thompson early in the series, and has had continued moments of arguing back and forth with Warriors players throughout this first round.
All the while, Gordon has struggled immensely, bricking shots at a prolific rate. He averaged 15 points on 52 percent shooting in the regular season. Through three games in this playoff series, he’s averaged 11 points on 40.6 percent shooting.
Gordon continued getting into it with Warriors players to open Game 4. After Draymond Green was called for a foul for an incidental scratch of Nikola Jokic’s eye, he and Gordon had an altercation just 40 seconds into the game.
Here’s another look at it.
It’s been a foul-laden contest thus far, with Klay Thompson fouling twice in the first four minutes and having to sit. By the end of the first quarter, the Warriors were called for 8 fouls compared to 4 for the Nuggets, and that’s not including a woeful, overturned foul call against Stephen Curry.
