It’s not a shock, but it’s not the greatest news.

The Warriors provided an update on sprained ligament in Stephen Curry’s foot Friday afternoon, saying that Curry will be re-evaluated again on April 11, one day after the regular season ends. Curry is expected to start on-court activities next week.

The playoffs begin on either April 16 or 17 for the Warriors, and will hopefully coincide with Curry’s return to the court. Steve Kerr didn’t seem concerned about Curry’s progress after the team’s announcement.

“We were hoping maybe he’d play one or two games at the end of the regular season,” Kerr said. “But that was always a long shot. His rehab is going fine…I’m not too worried about him. All it takes is one shot and he’s back in rhythm.”

The Warriors are 1-6 in the seven games Curry has missed since hurting the foot vs. Boston on March 16. Since then, Golden State has fallen to 4th in the Western Conference, and are just two games above the sixth seeded Nuggets. Here’s what the standings look like on April 1.

The Warriors’ remaining five games are as follows: vs. Utah, at Sacramento, vs. LA Lakers, at San Antonio, at New Orleans.
