We finally have a date.

On Monday evening, Draymond Green announced when he’s planning on returning to the court after a long absence with an L5-S1 disc injury in his back.

“I am targeting my return next Monday, (March) 14th vs. the Wizards,” Draymond said on his podcast. “That is the date that I am targeting. I’m excited as hell. It’s been almost two-and-a-half months, I’ve never missed that much time during the season.

“This is something different for me. So I’m extremely excited to get back out there with my guys to try to help right this ship.”

March 14 also happens to be Stephen Curry’s birthday.

Green has missed the Warriors’ last 25 games, 27 if you include his seven second cameo during Klay Thompson’s return. In those games Golden State has gone 14-13, and has lost a season-high four in a row. Before Green’s injury, the Warriors were 29-8.

The Warriors hit rock bottom on Saturday night, falling to a Lakers team that has been in a similar slump for much of the season.
