Five Pro Bowlers became seven for the 49ers on Tuesday.
Offensive linemen Alex Mack and Laken Tomlinson have been added to the NFC Pro Bowl roster. Originally alternates, Mack will replace Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce and Tomlinson is replacing Dallas Cowboys guard Zack Martin in this year’s Pro Bowl.
The two o-linemen join five other 49ers in Las Vegas: DL Nick Bosa, FB Kyle Juszczyk, TE George Kittle, WR Deebo Samuel and OL Trent Williams.
This is the first Pro Bowl nod for Tomlinson, 29, who the Niners acquired via trade with the Lions in 2017. The former first-round pick was ranked as the 13th best offensive guard in the NFL by Pro Football Focus in 2021, and played every offensive snap.
For the veteran Mack, 36, this is Pro Bowl number seven in his first year with the 49ers. Also a former first-rounder, Mack was ranked as the 12th best center in the league by PFF and didn’t miss a game with the 49ers this year.
