There’s a surprise on the Warriors’ latest injury report.
Stephen Curry is listed as questionable with a left hip contusion for Thursday’s game vs. the Cavaliers in Cleveland, the front end of a back-to-back that’s followed by Friday’s game vs. the Pistons. Andre Iguodala will miss the game due to left hip management.
It’s unclear at this point when Curry hurt the hip, but he showed no outward signs of the injury during Golden State’s domination of the Nets in Brooklyn on Monday. Curry put together an MVP performance, outshining Kevin Durant while dropping 37 points in 29 minutes.
Curry hasn’t missed a game yet this year. He missed nine games last season mostly due to a tailbone issue.
If Steph does indeed miss the game, the Warriors will face a Cavs team also without two key players. Rookie big man Evan Mobley and young point guard Collin Sexton are both expected to be unavailable.
