For once, the San Francisco 49ers will not be the shorthanded team. As they get set to face the Arizona Cardinals for the second time in the span of a month, they will be looking at a very different Cardinals team.

Arizona will be without three of its stars from October 10, headlined by their franchise quarterback Kyler Murray, star wide receiver Deandre Hopkins and defensive lineman J.J. Watt.

They also have receiver A.J. Green on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, along with three assistant coaches in assistant head coach/special teams coordinator Jeff Rodgers, RB coach James Saxon and assistant OL coach Brian Natkin.

The following is the Cardinals inactives list:

  • QB Kyler Murray (ankle)
  • WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring)
  • RB Jonathan Ward (concussion)
  • S James Wiggins (knee)
  • CB Kevin Peterson

The 49ers’ list has a couple surprises, too. Recently-acquired defensive lineman Charles Omenihu will be inactive, as will running back Trey Sermon, who’s rookie year continues to go sideways. With Javon Kinlaw done for the year, Maurice Hurst still out, Maurice Hurst waived and Omenihu inactive, San Francisco will start to rely on Arik Armstead much more on the interior.

Here is the team’s inactive list:

  • S Jimmie Ward
  • DT Maurice Hurst
  • RB Trey Sermon
  • G Aaron Banks
  • CB Deommodore Lenoir
  • DL Charles Omenihu
  • WR Travis Benjamin

The 49ers are scheduled to kick off against the Cardinals at 1:25 PDT.
