Even if you’re messing around, it’s not a good idea to challenge Stephen Curry to a shooting contest. Especially during a game.
Paul George won’t make that mistake again, after Curry hit a late dagger vs. the Clippers in the Golden State’s 115-113 win.
The shot was preceded by an exchange initiated by George, when cameras caught him challenging Curry to a three-point shooting competition from the logo.
George: “Let’s make it interesting. Let me get one. I give you one, you give me one.”
Curry: “I ain’t missed one yet.”
George: “I’m from the logo with it.”
The rest is history. Curry hit a deep three, nearly from the logo to give the Warriors a 108-107 lead with 1:56 left. He then hit the game deciding three to put the Warriors up 111-109 with less than a minute remaining.
