It’s been a while since we’ve had a story involving former Rockets and current Sixers executive Daryl Morey and the Golden State Warriors.
During the championship run, Morey was a consistent subject of ridicule from Warriors fans, mostly due to his public excuse making for why his Rockets were never able to beat Golden State, and a report that he was sending the NBA spreadsheets that detailed how the Rockets would’ve won the 2018 Western Conference Finals had they been officiated correctly.
No longer in Houston, Morey still seems to be in the business of bizarre tweets. After his Sixers won their first round series vs. the Wizards on Wednesday, Morey tweeted a screen shot of a Stephen Curry Instagram post, in which the Warriors star praised his brother Seth for dropping 30 in the game.
Morey’s comment was simply: “join em”. Implying Steph should come join the Sixers.

It would appear the tweet is an obvious tampering violation, which is probably why Morey was quick to fire off another tweet five minutes later, saying he was doing nothing else but praising Seth Curry on his performance.
My goodness folks I am talking about the fact that we are all thrilled @sdotcurry is here with the @sixers — nothing else!

Okay, Daryl, whatever you say.
