The Warriors are about to play their final regular season game, and what is effectively their first playoff game, against the ninth-seeded Memphis Grizzlies. Whoever wins Sunday’s contest will be the eighth seed, and play a one-game play-in against either the Los Angeles Lakers or Portland Trail Blazers. And whoever wins that game makes the playoffs as the seventh seed, and the loser will have to play one more game to make the playoffs as the eighth seed.
Whatever the scenario ends up being, Golden State will be without Kelly Oubre Jr., who has missed the last nine games with an avulsion fracture in his left wrist. According to the team’s update on Sunday, Oubre will be evaluated in seven-to-10 days, meaning he will miss the play-in game(s) and at least some of the first round, assuming the Warriors make it there.
