This second pro day from Justin Fields is much less of a pro day, and amounts, essentially, to a private workout. While the NFL, due to COVID-19, has made private workouts off-limits this offseason, Fields held a second pro day largely at the 49ers’ request.
Per Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, only seven teams were in attendance for this second pro day, which was run by NFL coaches, and which incorporated some of the 49ers’ playbook.
I'm told the Lions, picking seventh, are also sending a couple guys down to see Fields throw. So picks 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, and 15 repped.

The 49ers’ traveling party to the pro day featured general manager John Lynch, head coach Kyle Shanahan and quarterbacks coach Rich Scangarello, per multiple reports.
Without live broadcast of the pro day, like the first one; and without media permitted at the pro day, there’s no real way to gauge Fields’ performance, or more importantly, the rumblings and reactions to Fields by the NFL teams in attendance. All we have, at the moment, is the video above, posted on Ohio State Football’s Instagram story. But hey, it’s something; and as you’d expect, Fields throws brilliant deep balls.
