Say the man’s name.
Juan Toscano-Anderson is playing too well to remain anonymous these days, and was a key piece in the Warriors’ win again on Thursday. Toscano-Anderson was a plus-11 in his 21 minutes while playing excellent defense against Nikola Vucevic down the stretch. He also had the play of the game, a pass that lead to a Stephen Curry three-point attempt that was so obviously going to go in, JTA celebrated before the ball left Curry’s hand.

You’ll notice that the above post didn’t include Toscano-Anderson’s name, but rather referred to him as Steph’s teammate. After the game Toscano-Anderson quote tweeted the post, introducing himself to the account’s 9.4 million followers.
Hi, I’m Steph’s teammate ??♂️, my names Juan. https://t.co/Rmjv7rsI6E

“Hi, I’m Steph’s teammate,” he wrote with a raised hand emoji,”my names Juan.”
Curry then chimed in.
“Talk to emmmmmmm Juan T!” Curry wrote.

It’s understandable the Toscano-Anderson isn’t yet a household name outside of the Bay Area. He is on a two-way contract after all, and before the Warriors saw all of their centers hit the injured list, was inactive for 11 games on a .500 team. But he has turned heads with his performances since being thrust into the starting lineup, and his basketball IQ has made him a surprisingly valuable piece on a team that is without the likes of glue guys like Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston.
Toscano-Anderson is making a name for himself in this league, and he’s making sure everyone knows it.
