It’s been over 13 months since we saw Stephen Curry look like he did on Tuesday night.
Yes, Curry made his debut in the Warriors’ first preseason game on Saturday, the first since breaking his hand in late October of last year, but he was subdued, scoring 10 points on 3-of-10 shooting in just 21 minutes. On Tuesday, he looked like Steph Curry, dropping 29 points in 28 minutes while also playing the entire third quarter.
You could tell Curry was locked in from the tip. He scored 11 points in the game’s first five minutes, including three 3-pointers.

The solid shooting continued — Curry finished 11-of-21 and 5-of-13 from three — but his overall play looked sharp as well. Curry completely controlled the action when he was on the floor, his +7 the best of any Warrior who played more than 20 minutes.
He also showed off his signature handle and skill, flipping an effortless behind the back pass to Kevon Looney, before putting Kings defender Richaun Holmes in the torture chamber.

Yes it’s a meaningless preseason game, and yes the Warriors have far more questions than answers heading into the 2020-21 season, but it sure was good to see Stephen Curry look like himself for the first time in a while.
