The tradition of the Warriors playing on Christmas Day will continue in 2020.

Golden State is part of a tentative five game slate that will take place just three days after the season commences on Dec. 22. The Warriors will head to Milwaukee to play the Bucks on Christmas, for the first time ever. Here’s the rest of the proposed schedule:

This is the Warriors’ fifth Christmas Day game since the league expanded the holiday schedule in 2016. Golden State played the LeBron-led Cavaliers in 2016 and 2017, LeBron’s Lakers in 2019 and shocked the Rockets with a win last year despite being without both Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. The Warriors are 2-2 on all-time on the holiday.

This is the Bucks’ third straight season playing on Christmas and their first hosting a game. They beat the Knicks in 2018 and lost to the 76ers last season.

The Warriors’ reported interest in Giannis Antetokounmpo and his questionable future in Milwaukee adds intrigue to this already intriguing matchup.
