Just when you were starting to get over what happened in 2013.
49ers fans with PTSD regarding the awful Ahmad Brooks roughing the passer call that cost San Francisco a win (and home field advantage in the NFC Championship Game) in 2013, were treated to another baffling penalty involving Drew Brees.
In the second quarter, Kentavius Street got his first career sack, until it was called back for roughing the passer. Apparently Street landed too hard on Brees. You be the judge.
Roughing the passer eh? ? pic.twitter.com/dBikDW7qlL

The 49ers certainly disagreed, most vocally some of the players who were unavailable for Sunday’s game, who took to Twitter to voice their displeasure.
I don’t understand that call!! Street landed off to the side smh

No sense at all. There is literally nothing he can do. He’s getting pushed in the back and still tries to go off to the side https://t.co/X80vcA8G0F

That is ridiculous. He turned to the side. Nothing more he can do?

NFL rules state that the defensive player must make an attempt not to land on top of the defender with most of his weight, which it appears Street did.
Does Nick Mullens get that call? Something to (angrily) think about.
