That’s now two consecutive stops where the Mohamed Sanu experiment hasn’t worked.
Sanu was reportedly cut by the 49ers on Tuesday according to Ian Rapoport after just three games with the team.
Source: The #49ers are releasing WR Mohamed Sanu, as SF gets healthy at the position with some of their young guys. Rare for an experienced, accomplished WR to be free in early October.

Sanu caught one pass for nine yards in his brief Niners tenure, where he was brought in amidst multiple injuries to the receiving corps. That corps is now healthier with the return of Deebo Samuel and Richie James Jr., making Sanu expendable once again.
In 2019, Sanu caught just 26 passes in eight games for the Patriots after a midseason trade.
One of the receivers to break out since Sanu was signed is rookie Brandon Aiyuk, who seemed displeased when he heard the news of his fellow receiver’s release.
WHY!!!WTF!!
