After last night, we could all use some positive news. Klay Thompson is always good for some of that.
The Warriors shooting guard is looking close to fully recovered from the torn ACL he sustained during the 2019 playoffs. So much so that he threw down a dunk in what appeared to be a live scrimmage at the Warriors facility in San Francisco.
Thompson missed all of the 2020 season with the injury and is on pace for a return whenever the 2021 season commences. A healthy Thompson will be crucial for the Warriors chances next season, especially considering the West looked extremely vulnerable in the postseason, with the supposed-juggernaut Clippers getting ousted by the Nuggets in the Conference Semifinals.
If Thompson is able to return to form, the Warriors making a championship run in 2021 will be very much on the table.
