Here’s how the Giants’ new bullpens look right now

The Giants and their grounds crew are certainly proceeding as if there will be a 2020 Major League Baseball season.

Oracle Park is nearly ready for baseball, even if MLB isn’t, as the newly constructed bullpens are nearing completion. In images the Giants released Monday, you can see the home bullpen (above) and visitor’s bullpen (below) just need some touching up. The bullpens are now off the foul lines — which infielders and outfielders scrambling for fly balls appreciate — and safely behind outfield fences that have crept in.

Now the Giants hope they will be able to show off the new-look field, even if only on TV screens. MLB and the Players Association continue to exchange and shoot down offers that would start a shortened season, the best bet right now being Rob Manfred installing a 50-ish game sprint of a regular season that at least would start without fans.

The new Oracle Park will have a left-center-field wall 399 feet away (down from 404), a center-field wall 391 feet away (down from 399), and the Triples Alley wall will be 415 away (down from 421).
