Warriors head coach Steve Kerr called BS on a tweet from Vice President Mike Pence on Friday, that advocated for Americans peacefully protesting in the wake of George Floyd’s murder at the hands of a white police officer.
We believe in law and order in this Country. We condemn violence against property or persons. We will always stand for the right of Americans to peacefully protest and let their voices be heard.

The comment seems empty, considering Pence famously left a 2017 NFL game between the 49ers and Colts after Colin Kaepernick kneeled during the national anthem to protest racial inequality and oppression. That fact was not lost on Kerr, who responded strongly to Pence’s statement.
You’ve gotta be kidding me. How do you have the gall to say this? https://t.co/wfJowOaDRe

Kerr is no stranger to mixing it up with the current administration. The Warriors were not welcomed by Donald Trump to the White House in 2017, after members of the team, most notably Stephen Curry, made comments critical of the president.
